Oct. 27th, 2008 07:05 pmIt's been several days since Kal-El last saw Eirene. Despite this, true to his word he has spoken to the Council on her behalf, requesting that they contact her directly to make any arrangements that are required. That aspect of her life is none of his business.
No matter how long the kiss lingers in his memory.
Otherwise, he's thrown himself into his work at military headquarters, scouring reports from off world, coordinating attacks and refuge stations for planets already ravaged by the army of Apokolips.
It's sufficiently distracting that the sun has almost set by the time he leaves this particular evening toward home. For once, he stops and watches it go the rest of the way from one of the large observation windows. He isn't sure why.
